Hey,
Today I wanted to go through the products I finished using in the month of February. Below I have a photo of all the items I finishes as well as little blurbs about how I felt about them.
Dentitex Advanced Whitening Toothpaste:
Cheap and effective. Will continue to repurchase and use.
Dennis Gross alpha beta ultra gentle daily peel samples:
While I tried out the ultra gentle peel samples, I found they were quite rough on the skin of my face. My skin was left very clean and exfoliated but a little bit sore.
Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Cream Samples:
Over the last month or so I have tried about three or so samples of this moisturiser and have really enjoyed how it has gone on my skin. It is a very thick and creamy consistency and blends out on the skin quite easily. This is something in future I would contemplate purchasing.
Avon eye cream sample:
This sample didn't impress or leave me with any lasting impressions. I do not plan on purchasing this.
The Body Shop Oils of Light eye cream sample:
I really enjoyed using this eye cream and if the price wasn't ridiculous I would have purchased it after finishing the sample. It was very hydrating and left my eye area feeling soft and bright.
Josie Maran Whipped Mud Mask samples:
I first tried out the Josie Maran whipped mud mask through a sample in my Beauty Loop box and really enjoyed how it left my skin. Unfortunately Mecca do not sell the Vanilla Apricot version that I enjoyed sampling so I got myself a sample of the unscented version. I prefer the Vanilla Apricot one but I am seriously considering purchasing the unscented version that Mecca sells as I love how my skin feels afterwards.
Lush Enzymion Face Cream sample:
I enjoyed using this moisturiser sample. It had a thick formula and took a lot more than others to cover my face and neck but did not leave my skin looking oily or irritated. Something I will consider purchasing in the future.
Rimmel Lasting Finish Primer:
This was my holy grail primer and I agree that it makes my makeup last longer. I have however since started using the blemish control version with the pink lid and feel that it has the same effect in terms of making my make up last longer but is easier to spread on the skin. This primer is very sticky and you have to work to blend it into the skin. This is something I will probably use again in future but for now another has captured my heart.
By Terry eye contour
This sample lasted quite a few nights, a little seems to go a long way. I was not blown away by the formula, while it was cooling in a soothing way to my eye area it is not something that I plan on purchasing.
Lush Imperialis Face Cream Sample
This face cream sample stretched quite far being that it was a very runny and thin formula. It was pink in colour and had a pink musk smell to it which became overwhelming if perspiring as the scent was very evident. While I enjoyed how my skin felt using it, soft and moisturised I will not be purchasing as the scent was a little to much for me.
Daiso Collagen 7 Mack Pack:
I purchased these for $2.80 from Daiso some months back. It took awhile to use the packet and surprisingly the last mask was still in the same moist condition when I applied it to my face as the first thanks to the zip lock packaging. They are a really hydrating mask with a pleasant non-chemical smell. I really loved using them, they left my skin feeling plump, moisturised and soothed. I will be repurchasing these masks when my local Daiso opens up.
Lacura Cotton Tips:
These are functional and get the job done write. Already repurchased and will continue to in the future.
Byphasse Make-up remover solution:
My holy grail. It is affordable, down right cheap and does not irritate or leave the skin feeling oily. It removes all make up and because it comes with 500ml of product, lasts quite a while. I will repurchase in the future.
John Frieda Colour Deepening Treatment:
This product left my hair feeling conditioned but also highlighted the warm tones in my hair. While it didn't necessarily deepen my hair as much as I would have liked it did deepen it and highlighted while it was at it. I will not be repurchasing but I like the idea of it.
Mamia Fragrance Free baby Wipes:
These are my favourite wipes to use after cleansing. They are fragrance free and non-irritating and I will repurchase.
Nivea anti-perspirant Stress Protect:
I have been using this deodorant for quite a while and will continue to use it in the near future.
Daiso 90 piece Cotton Puffs
I cannot wait for the Daiso near me to officially open up as these cotton puffs are such great value for money. I will be repurchasing asap as 180 cotton puffs for $2.80 is cheap as chips.
QV Nuturing Night Cream:
Ultimately I have started using a different night cream as I feel like even when simplifying my night routine and the products I was using this has a light burning sensation on my cheeks when applied. I am not sure if it was a reaction to some other product I was using or just in general did not agree with my skin but I will not be repurchasing.
Pantene Intense Treatment:
After shampooing my hair I would put my normal conditioner in my hair and add this as well. I feel like that while the treatment did leave my hair soft and moisturised I had to use quite a lot each time to achieve this. This meant I used up the bottle quite quickly. I have since started using another Pantene treatment I prefer a lot more.
Schick Intuition Pure Nourishment Cartridge:
This cartridge has lasted me a few weeks shaving my legs which is impressive when comparing to a normal disposable razor. My legs are left smooth and moisturised and I will continue to repurchase after I finish the other two cartridges.
Korress Wild Rose Serum:
This was a sample from my Beauty Loop box I received and I admit to liking the way my skin responded to the formula. My skin seemed a lot less dull after using this. This may be something I will consider purchasing in the future.
What products did you finish in the month of February?
Thanks for reading,
Danny xx
