URBAN DECAY- Naked Illuminated Trio

Hey,

Today I wanted to review the Urban Decay Naked Illuminated Trio I received for Christmas. This was a limited edition palette that came out for the 2016 Christmas holidays. This was a palette both my Mum and I saw on Facebook and instantly needed, so it was just a matter of waiting for it to arrive in store. The palette is made for both the face and body.

There are three shades to this highlighting palette;

1.
A shade titled Pyrite which is a shimmery golden -brown toned highlighter. This highlighter out of the three has the most pigmentation and the least amount shimmer.

2.
A shade titled Oasis which is a marbled shimmery pearl highlighter with veins of a taupe colour. This highlighter out of the three has the least amount of pigmentation and the most shimmer. It is a very sheer powder with noticeable silver sparkles. It takes a lot of effort for colour to build up.

3.
A shade titled Twilight which is a shimmery pink highlighter. This highlight is the in-between of the other two, some pigmentation and some shimmer.

This palette is valuable if using on multiple people with different skin tones as it incorporates colours that suit different tones.

Since receiving this palette I have swatched it as well as applied it to my face once. This is not because I do not love it but simply because I received a hell of a lot of products for Christmas. I personally prefer to apply the palette as if it is a contour palette, the gold as a bronzer, the pink as a blush and the pearl as a shimmery highlight. This is not a palette I will use every day but it will come out and impress. It is a great palette if you want to shimmer, but not if you want a whole lot of pigmentation.

Thanks for reading,

Danny xx
