Hey,

Today I wanted to go through the photos I took for my makeup artist friend at a Make up trial she did last Friday afternoon.

Prepping skin (above) Danielle prepared Monica's skin using the Mario Badescu Rose Water

Applying primer (above)

Danielle used multiple primers at this stage;
the first was the Benefit Porefessional to blur out pores and the second is the Too Faced Hangover primer to hydrate the rest of her skin for foundation.

Blending out eye shadow (above)Danielle started by using the shadow White Chocolate from the Too Faced Chocolate Bar which is the base for her eye shadow look. She then blended the shade Peanut Butter from the Too Faced Semi-Sweet palette followed by Cypress Umber from the Modern Renaissance palette. Kathleen Lights x Morphe Palette, 2 down and 3 across. Finally the Too Faced Peach Palette in the shade luscious.

Danielle applied the MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre in order to prep the eyelids for eye shadow, which she went onto set with the Face of Australia Translucent Powder.

Concealing edges of eyeshadow (above)Danielle used the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in the shade 20. She firstly using this as a tool to neaten up the eye make up she previously applied which created a sharp line of product.

Blending out foundation using beauty sponge (above)

Danielle used the MAC studio fix foundation in the shade NC15, a colour chosen after colour matching using a couple of other shades. This foundation was blended out using the bue Chi Chi Beauty sponge which created a flawless base.

Blending Foundation (above)

After blending out foundation Danielle went back in with the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in the shade 20 and applied this to the under eye area and points of the face that needed highlighting and concealing.

Applying liquid liner (above)

Danielle decided to try out a wing on one eye, she used the Inglot eyeliner pot in shade 77. Unfortunately Danielle was unhappy with the brush she used, the application not as sharp and precise and she wanted it to be.

Close up of eyes (above)Once Danielle had completed Monica's eye look, she completed the look by going in with the Lengthening Bobby Brown Mascara to add length to her lashes.

Applying lipstick (above)Danielle applied a lip liner to the lips to create a more precise application when she later went in with a lipstick. The lip liner Danielle utilised was the Kylie Cosmetics lip liner in Dolce K, she followed this up with the Gerrad Cosmetics liquid lipstick in the shade Everything Nice.

Danielle is a very talented makeup artist and I am very glad that I had the opportunity to go with her to a make up trial where she allowed me to document her process. I look forward to many other experiences similar to this with her.

Thanks for reading,

Danny xx
