Hey,
Today I wanted to write a short little post detailing what my go to lip combination has been lately. I am very much a creature of habit and once find a combination that works with any eye and make up look I wear it till there is nothing left.
The lip liner I use to not only outline but fill in my lips is the W7 Lip Twister in Nude, which is essential a purple grey nude. I outline and fill in my entire lips as I feel like this extra layer helps keep my liquid lipstick stay in place longer as well as gives a base for the lipstick. I follow the lip liner with the Jeffree Star Cosmetic Velour Liquid lipstick in the shade Celebrity skin which is a brown nude with a peach undertone which when applied over the lip liner is a tad more grey and purple toned.

URBAN DECAY - All nighter setting spray!
Hey,
Today I wanted to write a quick mini-review on the Urban Decay all nighter setting spray that I purchased the other week from my local Mecca.
I have only used it a hand full of times as I haven't been wearing a lot of make up lately as all I have been doing is working. However it has only taken me these handful of days to cement my opinion on the product. Yesterday, I applied a full face of make up;
I followed this full face with a healthy spray of the Urban Decay All nighter setting spray, 9 hours later I went and had a look at my face in the mirror and it looked like I had just applied it. Everything apart from my lipstick was exactly where I applied it. Nothing had moved, separated or faded. The formula is an absolute miracle worker.
It took me a while to get up the courage to purchase it, the price is quite steep at $49 for 118ml. Now that I have purchased and tried out the formula, it is well worth the price tag.
Below I have some morning and night photos of my make up.

Holiday....
Hey,
Today I wanted to have a little chat about some of my upcoming plans.
I have been a bit slack lately with my posting, my intention has been to be organised and have every post for the upcoming week completed on a Tuesday but life has been getting to me. Between working and family my schedule has been all over the place. This I hope to remedy soon but bare with me, it may take a few weeks to get into the groove of things.
In mid to late March I will be going away for about a week and a half with my family. I will only be travelling to the next state (Adelaide) but this will give me a chance to get away from work and spend some quality time with my parents and grandparents.
My plan previous to this trip is to have my posts pre-written from mid March to early April so that by the time I get back I can focus on reviews of makeup I have used while in Adelaide and creating posts which detail my trip.

Catastrophe Cosmetic
Hey,
Today I wanted to write about a mask that I purchased from Lush and finally go the chance to try out last night. I was planning on purchasing this mask the week before but by the time I went back into Lush it was completely sold out, so I went home and pouted a lot.
I finally purchased the mask on Saturday and then Sunday night after work and a Kmart trip applied it to my face. Since purchasing I have kept it in the fridge, not only to keep the ingredients from going funky but to also have that added cooling feeling when applying to my skin.
When I opened the mask up I had to mix together the solid ingredients with some of the liquid ingredients that had separated which was quick and easy. What was left on my finger after mixing I applied to my face. It was cold and soothing straight away but also felt quite thick. The thickness of the mask no way impinged on the spread ability, it just went on over my face thicker than other masks I have tried. The mask was very blue - because of the blueberries.
I proceeded to leave the mask on for roughly 15 minutes, at about the 10 to 15 minute mark the mask began drying down and became quite flaking. Moving my face and making faces caused the mask to flake off a lot faster towards the 15 minute mark. I then proceeded to shower it off and went on with my usual nightly skin care routine.
I quite enjoyed using this mask and because the tub I purchased is 60 grams I will get quite a few more uses out of this product. If you enjoy pampering your face this is something I would recommend people trying.
According to Lush the Catastrophe Cosmetic Mask is;
A calming and moisturising fresh face mask packed with blueberries, calamine and chamomile, rose and almond oils to soothe and soten the skin.
Directions on the website state that you should;
Smooth a generous layer of this mask onto clean skin and leave for 10 to 15 minutes.
List of ingredients;
Calamine Powder, Talc, Irish Moss Gel, Blueberries, Glycerine, Almond Oil, Rose Absolute, Chamomile Blue Oil, Sweet Wild Orange Oil, Limonene, Alpha, Isomethyl, Ionone, perfume.
Blueberries; Protect and soothes the skin
Calamine Powder; gently calming for delicate skin
Chamomile Blue Oil; calming and soothing
Irish Moss Gel; softening and soothing
Have you used this mask by Lush before?

Make up Trial with Makeup by Danielle Maree
Hey,
Today I wanted to go through the photos I took for my makeup artist friend at a Make up trial she did last Friday afternoon.
Follow Danielle Maree on her social media accounts;
Instagram: makeup.by.danielle.maree
Facebook: makeup.by.danielle.maree
Before (above)
Blending out eye shadow (above)Danielle started by using the shadow White Chocolate from the Too Faced Chocolate Bar which is the base for her eye shadow look. She then blended the shade Peanut Butter from the Too Faced Semi-Sweet palette followed by Cypress Umber from the Modern Renaissance palette. Kathleen Lights x Morphe Palette, 2 down and 3 across. Finally the Too Faced Peach Palette in the shade luscious.
Applying eye primer (above)
Danielle applied the MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre in order to prep the eyelids for eye shadow, which she went onto set with the Face of Australia Translucent Powder.
Eye area prior to adding gold to center of lids (above)
Applying liquid liner (above)
Danielle decided to try out a wing on one eye, she used the Inglot eyeliner pot in shade 77. Unfortunately Danielle was unhappy with the brush she used, the application not as sharp and precise and she wanted it to be.
After (above)
Danielle is a very talented makeup artist and I am very glad that I had the opportunity to go with her to a make up trial where she allowed me to document her process. I look forward to many other experiences similar to this with her.

Peanut Butter Jelly Time!
Hey,
Today I wanted to talk about my first Buy Swap and Sell purchase that I have made in God only knows how long. I made the purchase on Monday the 13th of February in the KFC and Coles Car Park in Caroline Springs. I found this palette on the App Carousell being advertised for $40 and having missed out on the final restock I just had to snatch it up before someone else did.
The palette smells like cocoa, not like the peanut butter I was expecting. In terms of size the palette is much smaller than I initially thought, being just larger than my palm but it does contain a mirror. The palette contains nine shadows that are quite pigmented and very warm toned, which works for my face. However the larger shadows; spread the love, Bananas and Extra Creamy are less pigmented compared to the other six shadows.
I am really glad I managed to snatch up this palette, it is going to make a fabulous addition to my collection. This is the kind of palette that I can see myself using on a day to day basis.

Going back to those old lessons!
Hey,
Today I wanted to talk about what I have been doing with my face; in terms of both make up and skin lately. I haven't been wearing make up daily as much as I used to be, I have been working a lot and spending time with the little people in my family so I really just haven't needed to look like a drag queen much lately.
I have however been very concerned with my skin and skin care routine. I have been making time to use mud masks and other hydrating masks as well as try out different samples of serums, eye creams and day and night creams.
I keep going back to the same advice I learnt from one of Wayne Goss' Youtube videos time and again when I run into a wall with my make up. By run into a wall I mean that my normal routine just isn't working as well as it once was. I ran into a wall one Saturday earlier in February when after not wearing make up all week I decided to do a full face.
When looking at myself in the mirrors at H&M while out shopping I was horrified and how my makeup looked. My make up looked like it was applied by a toddler and it was cakey and breaking up and I had only applied it an hour or so previous. I felt wronged by my ridiculously expensive routine. Estee Lauder Double wear concealer and foundation and RCMA translucent powder. These were not cheap purchases and normally I really like how it all comes out on my face but that Saturday it just didn't gel.
A few days later after not wearing make up again I decided to go back to the routine I had learnt from Wayne Goss in an effort to beat that cakey look. This routine is essentially broken up into three steps;
Step 1:
Moisturiser/ Primer
Step 2:
Powder
Step 3:
Foundation
Find Wayne Goss' video here
First I applied my Rimmel lasting finish primer and Double wear concealer. Followed by brushing on my RCMA no colour powder and then my Double Wear foundation. I noticed straight away that I had much better coverage and that my foundation looked a lot more natural without that cake like look. I have officially gone back to this way of applying my make up.

JEFFREE STAR! Skin Frost in KING TUT
Hey,
Today I wanted to write about the Jeffree Star Skin Frost in the shade King Tut. King tut is Jeffree Stars Gold highlighter and boy is it Gold. Hello, Gold! It is a gold tone with a golden yellow frosty sheen and it is just gold, on gold with some gold. Without any other coloured undertones like copper.
A small amount of the product goes a long way and he pigmentation is just want you want for a highlighter. The formula is intense but oh so buildable if you want to blind people. The formula is very finely milled, buttery and pigmented which makes blending out so dreamy. Hello, easy to love Highlighter!
Jeffree Star Cosmetics sell the Skin Frosts for $29 USD which translates to many Australian Dollars when you add shipping. This is fair as you recieve 15 grams of product, the pan is literally larger than my palm and you also get a mirror. It is also stated on his website that the skin frost can be used for the face, body and eyes, so it can multitask. This is value for your buck, even if it is an Australian buck!
Th packaging is classic Jeffree Star, everything is his classic pink colour. The compact is hard pink plastic with his logo printed on the front in a metallic darker pink. Inside in the product with his start printed on it as well as a compact sized mirror, great for travelling.
Overall I am impressed.

Have you gotten your hands on any of the Jeffree Star Skin Frosts?
What is your opinion?
Look out for my reviews of the other Skin Frosts I have in my collection.

Review- Anastasia Glow Kit in Sundipped
Hey,
Today I want to review the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in Sundipped that my sister-in-law brought home for me from the states. This is a stunning highlighting palette for all of a girls glowing needs.
This palette includes four powders which are on the warmer side of the spectrum which are called Bronzed, Summer, Tourmaline and Moonstone. The formula of the powders is buttery making the smooth and velvety to the touch. Each and every one of the four are rich with pigmentation which are evident when swatched and or applied to the face.
Bronzed is a coppery-brown tone that is the darkest shade of the palette. This shade has a amber- metallic shimmer to the powder which is very warm toned.
Summer is a yellow tone which is the lightest shade of the palette. This shade has a more intense white gold metallic shimmer than bronzed but is still very much a warm toned powder.
Tourmaline is a taupe-brown tone that hints at being a rose gold that is as dark as Bronzed but in a different way. It has a darker metallic shimmer to it and seems less warm toned than the other three, it is straddling the border into neutral.
Moonstone is more of a pearly- peachy tone that is very light like Summer. It comes across very similarly to Summer in terms of colour and more of a gold metallic shimmer.
If you want to blind people with your glow this is a palette to consider purchasing. While it is not one I necessarily reach for often, when I do I fall in love with it all over again. Below I have photos of the packaging, the powders and swatches.

URBAN DECAY- Naked Illuminated Trio
Hey,
Today I wanted to review the Urban Decay Naked Illuminated Trio I received for Christmas. This was a limited edition palette that came out for the 2016 Christmas holidays. This was a palette both my Mum and I saw on Facebook and instantly needed, so it was just a matter of waiting for it to arrive in store. The palette is made for both the face and body.
There are three shades to this highlighting palette;
1.
A shade titled Pyrite which is a shimmery golden -brown toned highlighter. This highlighter out of the three has the most pigmentation and the least amount shimmer.
2.
A shade titled Oasis which is a marbled shimmery pearl highlighter with veins of a taupe colour. This highlighter out of the three has the least amount of pigmentation and the most shimmer. It is a very sheer powder with noticeable silver sparkles. It takes a lot of effort for colour to build up.
3.
A shade titled Twilight which is a shimmery pink highlighter. This highlight is the in-between of the other two, some pigmentation and some shimmer.
This palette is valuable if using on multiple people with different skin tones as it incorporates colours that suit different tones.
Since receiving this palette I have swatched it as well as applied it to my face once. This is not because I do not love it but simply because I received a hell of a lot of products for Christmas. I personally prefer to apply the palette as if it is a contour palette, the gold as a bronzer, the pink as a blush and the pearl as a shimmery highlight. This is not a palette I will use every day but it will come out and impress. It is a great palette if you want to shimmer, but not if you want a whole lot of pigmentation.

January Favourites
Hey,
Today I wanted to talk about the beauty products I have enjoyed using the most during the month of January. Below I have a photo of all these items as well as little comments on each item.
Since purchasing this palette in December it has become my favourite to reach for when creating a brown eye look. The colours are rich and pigmented and blend together effortlessly. Would recommend everyone purchase if they do not already own it.
This facial scrub contains charcoal which I find works really well with my skin. It also gently exfoliates without being too abrasive or not abrasive enough.
This was an impulse buy and I am glad that I did buy it. On my skin it is neither orange or too intense but can be built up.
This face wash helps maintain my relatively clear complexion, I noticed the difference when I ran out. This is something I am going to continue using, just in moderation.
This facial spray has taken over from my usual toner. Not only is it convenient as it is in a spray bottle but it is made of natural ingredients that does not irritate my skin. This leaves my skin feeling clean and toned.
This product is a miracle worker. Whenever a blemish becomes too nasty I cover it with this product and overnight it moves into the later stages of healing. Majority of the time I wake up with a small spot, even after applying it to a large pimple.
I found this mix on Pinterest and enjoy using something so natural during my morning shower. This as well as the rest of my skin routine has made my skin so much more healthy and clear.
This is a cheap and effective way to exfoliate the lips without the inherent harshness that can occur when exfoliating. It has a sweet smell and isn't overly abrasive. This leaves the lips feeling smooth and ready to be moisturised.
The best leave in conditioner, leaves the hair soft and smelling amazing. I have been using this for years and will continue to use it.
I have been using this product for a couple of weeks now and am quite impressed with how it leaves my hair. I add it to my hair alongside my Pantene conditioner and have found that the mix leaves my hair feeling silky and soft. As well as smelling great my hair has been full of life and as wavy as ever.
This is a great smelling cream that is applied to both wet or dry hair before heat styling. I generally use this on dry hair before straightening and I have found that my hair does not feel burnt and lifeless after styling. This is a product worth trying.
This mixed with my Schwartzkopf leave in conditioner work together to not only battle frizz but keep my hair feeling silky and soft. They are my secret weapon to great hair.
I ordered this palette from make up revolution and since receiving it have used it just about every single day. It is a versatile palette catering to light and dark skin tones. I enjoy using this palette when I want a more natural looking contour. The whiter powders can however leave the skin looking a little powdery so a lighter hand is recommended.
This is my holy grail eye brow product. Depending on how heavy handed I am when applying I can rock natural or overly filled in eyebrows all using the same product. A little product goes a long way and while I've been using the product for months I have barely made a dent in it.
This alongside my Chi Chi Brow Pomade are a match made in heaven for my brows. This brush is perfect for applying brow products to my brows and I refuse to use any other brush.

Today I wanted to talk about the beauty products I have enjoyed using the most during the month of January. Below I have a photo of all these items as well as little comments on each item.
Too Faced - Chocolate Bar:
Since purchasing this palette in December it has become my favourite to reach for when creating a brown eye look. The colours are rich and pigmented and blend together effortlessly. Would recommend everyone purchase if they do not already own it.
Lush - Dark Angels:
This facial scrub contains charcoal which I find works really well with my skin. It also gently exfoliates without being too abrasive or not abrasive enough.
Nars - Laguna Bronzer:
This was an impulse buy and I am glad that I did buy it. On my skin it is neither orange or too intense but can be built up.
Phisohex - Antibacterial Face wash:
This face wash helps maintain my relatively clear complexion, I noticed the difference when I ran out. This is something I am going to continue using, just in moderation.
Mario Badescu - Facial Spray:
This facial spray has taken over from my usual toner. Not only is it convenient as it is in a spray bottle but it is made of natural ingredients that does not irritate my skin. This leaves my skin feeling clean and toned.
Mario Badescu - Drying Lotion:
This product is a miracle worker. Whenever a blemish becomes too nasty I cover it with this product and overnight it moves into the later stages of healing. Majority of the time I wake up with a small spot, even after applying it to a large pimple.
Honey & Tea tree oil (morning face wash):
I found this mix on Pinterest and enjoy using something so natural during my morning shower. This as well as the rest of my skin routine has made my skin so much more healthy and clear.
Sportsgirl - lip scrub watermelon:
This is a cheap and effective way to exfoliate the lips without the inherent harshness that can occur when exfoliating. It has a sweet smell and isn't overly abrasive. This leaves the lips feeling smooth and ready to be moisturised.
Schwarzkopf- leave in treatment:
The best leave in conditioner, leaves the hair soft and smelling amazing. I have been using this for years and will continue to use it.
Pantene intensive treatment:
I have been using this product for a couple of weeks now and am quite impressed with how it leaves my hair. I add it to my hair alongside my Pantene conditioner and have found that the mix leaves my hair feeling silky and soft. As well as smelling great my hair has been full of life and as wavy as ever.
Elvive heat protect cream:
This is a great smelling cream that is applied to both wet or dry hair before heat styling. I generally use this on dry hair before straightening and I have found that my hair does not feel burnt and lifeless after styling. This is a product worth trying.
Garnier anti frizz serum:
This mixed with my Schwartzkopf leave in conditioner work together to not only battle frizz but keep my hair feeling silky and soft. They are my secret weapon to great hair.
Makeup Revolution powder contour palette:
I ordered this palette from make up revolution and since receiving it have used it just about every single day. It is a versatile palette catering to light and dark skin tones. I enjoy using this palette when I want a more natural looking contour. The whiter powders can however leave the skin looking a little powdery so a lighter hand is recommended.
Chi Chi - Brow Pomade:
This is my holy grail eye brow product. Depending on how heavy handed I am when applying I can rock natural or overly filled in eyebrows all using the same product. A little product goes a long way and while I've been using the product for months I have barely made a dent in it.
Arbonne - eyebrow brush:
This alongside my Chi Chi Brow Pomade are a match made in heaven for my brows. This brush is perfect for applying brow products to my brows and I refuse to use any other brush.
