Hey,
Today I wanted to explore both the palette I have used for the last week as well as introduce the palette I will be using for the next week. Last weeks palette was the Too Faced White Chocolate Chip eye shadow palette, which I have used for just about every day in the last week.
This palette in Australia retails for $39 at Mecca and contains 11 eye shadows. The palette itself is smaller than my hand and slightly larger than a bank card. Personally I don't find this palette to be value for money but being limited edition it is something to add to my Too Faced palette collection. The palette contains matte, metallic and frosted shadows.
I find all of the shadows to be sheer on the skin even after applied over the top of a good quality eye shadow palette. They are very buttery and velvety but not overly pigmented. Out of the eleven eye shadows in the palette I made the most use out of three of the shadows; Glaze, Cake batter and Cookie dough.
Glaze is the largest shadow in the palette and is a matte white shadow which I used each and every day of the challenge to set my entire eye area after eye primer. Cake batter is a matte light brown flesh tone colour which I used majority of the time as a crease colour. Cookie dough is a shimmery mid toned brown shadow which I used as a lid colour. On a couple of days I have the pinks, purples and black colours but found I preferred the more natural brown tones worked better with my complexion.
The ninth palette that I have chosen for the week ahead is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette, an impulse buy because of internet reviews which I haven't used a lot of since buying.
Thanks for reading,
Danny xx
