Hey,
Today I wanted to explore both the palette I have used for the last week as well as introduce the palette I will be using for the next week. Last weeks palette was the Too Faced White Chocolate Chip eye shadow palette, which I have used for just about every day in the last week.
This palette in Australia retails for $39 at Mecca and contains 11 eye shadows. The palette itself is smaller than my hand and slightly larger than a bank card. Personally I don't find this palette to be value for money but being limited edition it is something to add to my Too Faced palette collection. The palette contains matte, metallic and frosted shadows.
I find all of the shadows to be sheer on the skin even after applied over the top of a good quality eye shadow palette. They are very buttery and velvety but not overly pigmented. Out of the eleven eye shadows in the palette I made the most use out of three of the shadows; Glaze, Cake batter and Cookie dough.
Glaze is the largest shadow in the palette and is a matte white shadow which I used each and every day of the challenge to set my entire eye area after eye primer. Cake batter is a matte light brown flesh tone colour which I used majority of the time as a crease colour. Cookie dough is a shimmery mid toned brown shadow which I used as a lid colour. On a couple of days I have the pinks, purples and black colours but found I preferred the more natural brown tones worked better with my complexion.
The ninth palette that I have chosen for the week ahead is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette, an impulse buy because of internet reviews which I haven't used a lot of since buying.

Palette a Week 8!
Hey,
Today I wanted to explore both the palette I have used for the last week as well as introduce the palette I will be using for the next week. Last weeks palette was the Morphe 350M eye shadow palette, which I have used for just about every day in the last week.
I purchased both this palette and the Morphe 350S off of Beautybay when they both appeared on the website last year, for roughly $35. Every time I have pulled this palette out including the week straight that I used in for the Palette a week project I set myself, I have loved using it. This palette has a lot of variety but my preference is the warmer tones. I feel that cool toned shadows do not suit my complexion as much.
There are 35 cool and warm toned shades in this palette, all of which are matte finishes. This palette has a large variety of different browns, reds oranges and flesh tones. Straight away there are many variations of eye looks to create both natural and flashy looking. Each day while using it I tried to use a different flesh colour shadow to set my eye primer,a different mid-tone colour in my crease and a deeper tone for my lid. There were many variations that I tried out but being that I was at work quite a bit of the week the variations were of the different browns and natural colours.
The seventh palette that I have chosen for the week ahead is the Too Faced Choc Chip eye shadow palette which I purchased off a girl in Sunshine in recent months.

Sephora Order!
Hey,
Today I wanted to post some photos of the different beauty items I purchased online from Sephora. It was an impromtu order when I got paid as I had been wanting these three items for quite a while and decided that it was my birthday month and I should treat myself.
The order ended up equaling a total of $144, but I did manage to get a 10% off discount code from Uni-Days so it only cost me $129.60. I made the order on the 10th of May and it arrived on the 15th of May, very quick shipping.
My order:
Kat Von D Alchemist Holographic Palette $50.00
Kat Von D Lock-It Edge Foundation Brush $49.00
Pixi Glow Tonic $45.00

Birthday Makeup!
Hey,
On the 19th of May, I turned 24 and as a benefit of being a beauty loop member (now a level three) for Mecca I had a free make up application for the day. I booked it for 10am as I had a day planned where I spent time with just about everyone. I have in the last two months had my make up done at Mecca three times and there is nothing better than having someone else taking on that responsibility for the day.
To prepare for the application I was looking online for various eye shadow looks as I wanted something a little more flashy than usual for my birthday. Most of the looks centered around a deep red smokey eye look. Below I found a photo that incorporates the browns that suit my eyes as well as a deeper red tone. It does on here look a little pink but on my phone it is quite a deep red.
Eye look that I was aiming for:
Below I have photos of the make up done by a MUA at Mecca and then below that photos of a couple of tweaks I made.
Make up by Mecca:
Lighting is something that makes make up look different. This is the issue I had with a couple of parts of the make up once it was completed. It looked fantastic in store, also looked fantastic once I had left I just felt a couple of things weren't quite me. The lip once outside in natural lighting was quite orange which while looked nice wasn't the right fit for the look I was going for. This is something I went home and changed, I ended up using a more grey purple toned nude. Also my eyebrows were very light and fluffy, I prefer mine a little deeper as they are framing my face. This is another part I tweaked. Lasting the eye wasn't as deep as I was looking for so I went home and added a deeper red to my crease.
After I tweaked my make-up:

Palette a week 7!
Hey,
Today I wanted to explore both the palette I have used for the last week as well as introduce the palette I will be using for the next week. Last weeks palette was the Too Faced Chocolate Bar eye shadow palette, which I have used for just about every day in the last week. I have previously reviewed this product on my blog and if you would like to view that follow this link Too Faced! Chocolate Bar Palette!
I purchased this palette in December of 2016 and have to admit it was love at first sight, it has a lot of different colours that just work for my face. It smells like cocoa powder which makes eye shadow application very pleasant.
The palette has 16 shades in it, both matte and shimmer. The colour range includes browns, pinks luscious plums. When utilising this palette I mostly steer towards the browns which are all very natural, some matte and glittery. My favourite two shades in the palette are Salted Caramel and Semi-Sweet. Salted Caramel is a warm toned matte shadow with a medium orangy brown colour to it. While Semi-Sweet is a warm toned matte shadow with a medium brown colour to it. Both shades are very buttery and easy to blend and are two colours I most frequently use in my crease.
During the week when I had to work I utilised Salted Caramel, Semi-Sweet and Milk chocolate for a muted eye look while on my days off I tried to use the pinks and purples.
The seventh palette that I have chosen for the week ahead is the Morphe 350M palette which is one of the first palettes I purchased from Morphe last year.

JSC x Manny MUA Collaboration!
Hey,
Today I wanted to post some photos of my JSC x Manny MUA Collaboration that I ordered from the Jeffree Star Cosmetics website. I placed the order at 5am Sunday Morning on the 9th of April. I then waited a whole month for it to arrive on Tuesday the 9th of May.
I have to admit I really love the packaging which you can see below as I have included my unboxing photos. The packaging is all black, a combination of matte blacks and geometric glittery looking heaven. Apart from initially swatching the items I haven't had the chance to use the items enough to form an opinion as of yet. I will be posting a review once I have formed opinions.

Priceline Cosmetic Gift Bag!
Hey,
Today I wanted to post about a Priceline promotion that was occurring in early May to promote the purchasing of cosmetics. This promotion was that if you spent $60 or more on selected products you would receive a free cosmetic gift bag valued at over $150.
At first I wasn't interested in taking part in this as I have way too many products as it is. While at Priceline with my mum though I decided that between the two of us it would not take much to reach the $60 mark. So on the 5th of May I purchased a total of four products, my mother added another two to the purchase and bam I spent $67.
Product purchases:
Revlon Contour shadow brush $8.21
Nyx Pore Filler $21.95
Australis Fresh $ Flawless Pressed Powder $7.77
Australis Make up Setting Spray $9.57

URBAN DECAY! Naked Illuminated in Aura!
Hey,
Today I wanted to do a small review on the Urban Decay Naked Illuminated in the shade Aura. This is a purchase I made off of one of the Facebook Buy Swap and Sell sites and spent $20. The shade that I purchased is Aura.
My first impression is of the packaging. It is a bulky cardboard packaging that has two compartments. One compartment, the top is where the illuminator is and the bottom is for the brush. The packaging is also intensely glittery which matches the product within.
This product is less of a highlighter and more an illuminator like the packaging states. It works are an overall powder to add a glamorous shimmery glow to the skin. The product when swatched has a baby pink pigment to it along with intense shimmer. The powder is silky to the touch with a metallic frosted effect to the baby pink colour. A benefit to the formula is that the glitter is not at all chunky, it is finely milled.
This is a multi-functional product, that can be used just about anywhere on the body. Which is a benefit when you want a little bit of extra sparkle on any other part of your body.
Swatch of the illuminator (above)
Unfortunately this is a product that I do not use a lot, at present I am debating whether to sell it or not.

Palette a Week 6!
Hey,
Today I wanted to explore both the palette I have used for the last week as well as introduce the palette I will be using for the next week. Last weeks palette was the Morphe x Kathleenlights eye shadow palette, which I have used for just about every day in the last week.
When this palette was first released I hesitated at buying it and missed out. The minute the next restock occurred I snatched it up. I am personally a huge fan of Kathleen Lights and like to purchase any of her collaborations and considering my obsession with eye shadow palettes this was a must have buy.
I have used the one matte white shade in the palette religiously as a shadow to set my eye primer each day, then choosing another relatively light shade for my crease and a deeper version on my lid. There are three specific colours, all three shades of brown that I have used to death this week. I have used these as a crease an then layered on my lids. They are natural bronzy colours which suit my brown eyes. I have used them each day I have had work, tending to branch out to the other colours on my days off.
The sixth palette that I have chosen for the week ahead is the Too Faced Chocolate Bar which is one of my favourite palettes which I purchased over the Christmas season.

L'oreal Pure Clay Masks!
Hey,
Today I wanted to post about my first experience with the L'oreal Pure Clay Masks that I purchased from Chemist Warehouse. There are three masks in total; with Eucalyptus, charcoal and red algae. The mask with Eucalyptus is green in colour an considered to be the mask that is purifying and mattifying. The mask with red algae is red in colour and considered to be the mask that is exfoliating and soothing. The mask with charcoal is black in colour and considered to be the mask that is detoxifying and brightening.
Photo of the first time using the mask (above)
Pamphlet indicating where to apply different masks (above)
May 2nd - 10 second test:
My results;
T-zone - Oily Skin
Cheek - Dull skin?
Chin - Normal Skin
Where I applied the mask;
Eycalyptus Mask - applied to t-zone (forehead, nose) and bottom of chin
Charcoal Mask - Applied to chin
Red Algae Mask - Applied to cheeks
My final thoughts on my first experience using the L'oreal Pure Clay Masks was that the formula was quite cooling to the skin. It left my skin feeling soothed and less inflamed. A small amount of the formula spread quite far, just a touch of each and my face was covered. Finally it did not take long at all for the masks to dry, after which I showered and washed it off.
I really enjoyed the experience and cannot wait to try them again!

Make-up by Mecca 3/5
Hey,
Today I wanted to write a small post about a make-up application I had done on the 3rd of May. As part of my Mecca Beauty Loop Membership, I receive a certain amount of free make-up applications each year. I am currently a level 2 and therefore receive 2 free make-up applications over the course of the year as well as a third on my birthday. This time around I decided to use one for my baby cousins birthday so I looked fabulous for her party. Below I have a series of photos (crappy quality which I apologise for) from the day of my make up.
I really love the way my eyes were done, a very orange and red look. My only issue was that the Born this way foundation by Too Faced was used on my face and after a couple of hours it started separating and just looked terrible.
My next make-up application is on my birthday which is a couple of weeks away. Cannot wait to see how the next Mecca make up artists does my make up.
