October Empties!

Hey,

Today I wanted to go through my October Empties, all the products I finished using within the month of October. I was very surprised how many products I went through in October when I pulled them out to photograph.

I used to use this shampoo an conditioner when I was younger when my Dad could budget in a little more luxury product for my hair. The smell of my hair and the softness after using them was what had me going back again and again. It has been quite a few years since I have used this combination though and I found that I wasn't as impressed as I used to be. My hair maybe be more damaged now than when I was younger, due to excessive straightening and dying it black so that could be a major difference. I do however find that the conditioner was not as replenishing as some other conditioners I've been using in recent months.

TBX Daily Brush Cleaner

I was not impressed with this brush cleaner at all. There was plenty in the bottle and it did last quite a while, but I also found I didn't reach for it when cleaning my brushes.  It has a citrus smell that is quite strong but not necessarily unpleasant. A lot of the cleanser was needed in order to remove a small amount of make up.

T.N. Dickinson's All Natural Witch hazel

I have been using this toner off and on for the last couple of years since my brothers girlfriend introduced it to me. I have used others in between buying bottles of this but continuously seem to go back to it. It just seems to give my skin a more toned feeling. It has got alcohol in it so I am planning on trying to find a more natural toner for future use.

QV Wash

I was originally recommended to use this body wash by a chemist in order to regulate and try and clear up my eczema. Since then it has become something I have continued to repurchase. 

Nivea anti-perspirant Stress Protect Deodorant

I have officially been using this brand of deodorant for years and slowly worked my way through to using the stress protect version. This works amazingly, especially if your'e like me and tend to sweat quite easily.

W7 Photo shoot in Buff

This foundation is flawless but light coverage, it is however buildable. I have used a few bottles of this and am constantly impressed with both the price tag and the longevity. I will continue to repurchase this as a daily use foundation as who can walk past the price for quality.

Arbonne Moisturizing Night Creme

This was a very expensive night cream, at least for me it was. I found it to be quite nourishing and hydrating for my skin without creating excessive oiliness or break outs. I however could not see myself constantly repurchasing as it was quite pricey for how long it lasted, I am however on the search for a drug store equivalent.

Pantene Night Miracle Essence

I bought this product to use as a leave in conditioner for after I have washed my hair. It performs really well, keeping my hair soft and manageable without the frizz.

Coles Comfy bots baby wipes

These baby wipes were neither good or terrible for my skin. They did not cause any irritation or break outs or any other irritating effect. I will continue to be using the Aldi brand baby wipes though as they are cheap and efficient. 

Dentitex Advanced Whitening Toothpaste x 2

This month my brother and everyone else sharing the bathroom in the last month went through two tubes of toothpaste. This is an efficient and cheap toothpaste which is convenient as it is sold by Aldi where my family do their weekly shopping each week.

Formula 10.0.6 Rescue Me! Acne Blemish Treatment

This product cost me approximately $3.00 and lasted two months of twice a day use. It was relatively efficient at clearing my skin up but wasn't the best product I have used since finishing this. I will not be repurchasing this but it was not a bad product.

3 x Demi Wispies Modelrock Lashes

These are very whispy lashes that add a natural thickness to my existing lashes. These were a good purchase I made through the Facebook Buy Swap and Sell group. I scored 8 packs for $15.

Vedette Whitening Mask - Cucumber

A friend of my mums sent this home with her for me to use. One Saturday I decided to give it a try and boy was it a weird experience. It didn't quite fit my face but it was extremely moisturising for the skin on my face. 

Makeup remover pads 100 pack

These are a necessity that I purchase every month. I use them alongside my Micellar water as well as my toner to both cleanse and tone my skin. These two packets are value for money, $2.00 for 200 cotton pads from Kmart.

Schick Intuition Sensitive Care x 2

I had a christening, a wedding and a funeral this month so my legs had to be shaved quite a lot this month. These are very effienct and moisturising razor heads which I really enjoy using.

5 pairs of lashes

I bought this packet of 5 whispy lashes off of eBay for $1.00 and they have performed really well that I will be repurchasing.

 Chi Chi Pink Beauty Sponge

I haven't ever trialed the 'real' beauty blender but I have been using the Chi Chi beauty sponges for quite some time. They are cheap, soft and blend out my foundation like a dream. I used this sponge so much that the middle started splitting. Great investment, so much so I have two back ups already for when the replica beauty blender I'm using dies.

pHisohex Anti-bacterial Wash

I purchased this face wash on a whim and am so surprised at how effective it was at clearing up my skin. I at first was using it twice a day but it did cause some dryness around my neck. Once I reduced my use to once a day I was still getting great results but without the intense dryness.

Kmart Love Powder in Light

23/5/16 -  31/10/16

This powder was not bad for the $3 price tag. I however did find that when applied over my w7 foundations which I use every day that it created a cakey effect so I ended up just throwing the product rather than finishing it. I have since upgraded to the RCMA no colour powder.

Samples from Mecca

I grabbed these samples from Mecca when trialing some products on a friend. I was looking to see how the Naked Skin foundation worked on my skin, having already wearing foundation that day the girl gave me two shades to trial. The 1.5 was too light for my skin, it was also very light coverage compared to the 2 which worked well for my skin tone. I also grabbed a sample of the hangover primer which I know workes great to trial with the Naked Skin foundation samples. Wanted to trial the Mario Badescu Acne serum to see if it would clear up some problem areas but the sample was teeny tiny.

W7 Skin Fresh Concealer in Fair

This is a cheap drug store foundation, I purchased it from Chemist Warehouse for $4.99. I am quite impressed with the product considering how cheap it was to purchase, there was also quite a lot of product for the price. It had medium coverage and was quite a light colour, which is hard at times to find for pale skin.

Rimmel Fresher Skin Sample

I recieved this sample of the Rimmel Fresher Skin foundation with an online order and decided to give it a go and see how it works. It has quite light coverage which is not something I look for in a foundation. I ended up layering a little bit of my sample of Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation over to get the coverage I wanted.

Coles Talc Powder

This stuff is a necisity in my life, to keep all my creases dry. It also amazes me that I had this same bottle for two months, not bad for the $2.50 price tag.

Pack of 700 Cotton Buds

31/12/16- 31/10/16 I purchased this pack of 700 ear buds on the 31st of December in 2015 and have only just finished the package at the end of October. I share a bathroom with my brother so it has been a joint effort to use them up. It was definitely worth paying the couple of dollars I paid considering how long they have lasted.
