October Favoutites

Hey,

Today I wanted to talk about my favourite beauty items from the month of October. I managed to pick out nine beauty products that I have been either using the absolute bajesus out of or have found a huge appreciation for in the month of October.

Esree Lauder Double Wear in the shade Fresco

During September I went into Myer with my best friend and got matched for the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation. Not knowing if I was going to love or hate it the lady ended up giving me a generous sample of it to try at home. I have used the sample from Myer three times so far and from the looks of it I have a few more tries before I even finish the sample. This in itself is impressive, while it was a generous sample even generous samples don't generally last more than a couple at the most of applications. So far I enjoy that a little stretches a hell of a long way as well as the durability of the foundation.

The Body Shop Shade Adjusting Drops in Lightening

I purchased these lightening drops because I have a few foundations that are a couple of shades too dark for my skin and I didn't want to waste the money I had spent on them. I have been using these lightening drops for the last couple of weeks and have been quite impressed with how they lighten foundations even as little as one shade.

Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin in 02 Light

I bought this concealer to compare it to the W7 skin fresh concealer as they have similar packaging which made me question whether W7 tried to create a replica. This concealer by Maybelline is a very easy to blend yet completely full coverage concealer. It covers redness, freckles and dark under eyes.

Designer Brands Contour Kit

I received this palette in a show bag from the Royal Melbourne Show that my Aunty purchased for me. I have been using the middle contour colour to chisel out my cheeks and nose before using the Ulta3 Stobing kit bronzer to not only bronze the skin but blend and soften the contour.

Ulta3 Strobing Kit

The bottom row, middle bronzer is amazing. This palette has been in my favourites list two months running and it will soon be time to repurchase the palette. I am hoping that Ulta3 have a bronzer on its own.

e.l.f Complexion Brush

I bought this brush after a everyone on the Facebook Make up groups I follow went nuts about it. They were not wrong at all, this brush is my all time favourite. It is the perfect brush for blending out a bronzer on the cheeks and forehead. I literally cry when it is wet from cleaning it because I don't use any other brush.

RCMA No-Color Powder

I purchased this powder from Makeupnet and had it sitting in my drawer for a couple of weeks before giving it a go. It is very finely milled and doesn't leave the foundation looking cakey. I have since been using this powder daily and quite enjoy its effect on my makeup.  It has absolutely no colour but the packaging is a pain in the ass.

bhCosmetics Shaaanxo 9 Color Eyeshadow Palette

I purchased this palette off the bhCosmetics website and have been steadily using it ever since. It has a couple of base colours that I use daily, one is a cream colour and the other a light orange. Then I generally use one of the golden brown shimmer colours on my eyelids.

MakeupGeek x KathleenLights Highligher Palette

This was a purchase from September and I haven't used anything else since its arrival. I am a mad KathleenLights fan, love her YouTube channel as well as her collaborations with MakeupGeek and Colourpop. Cannot wait to order her Morphe Palette, that will have to wait though. When I first received this palette I wasn't overly impressed with the swatches, but once applied to my face it is amazing. The purple shaded highlight is my favourite, it is so glowy and sparkly.

Thanks for reading,

Danny xx
