Review - Arbonne FC5 Oil-Absorbing Day Lotion with SPF 15

Hey,

Today I wanted to review - Arbonne's Oil-Absorbing Day Lotion with SPF 15.  This is a purchase I made in the hopes of moving all of my skin care over to the Arbonne range in order to balance my skin care regime. I have since realised that some of the other products from other brands I have used in the past are better value for money.

As I have stated with the cleanser, this bundle (as pictured on the left) was an order I had mixed up. I essentially ordered the wrong skin pack.

According to the Arbonne catalogue the Oil-Absorbing Day Lotion with SPF 15 is for Oily/Combination skin and contains 50ml for $62.00 for non-members. I luckily Payed $106 for the moisturiser, powder and cleanser. Which are pictured to the left.

The catalogue goes onto say about the moisturiser, 'See shine go. This light-weight moisturiser helps absorb oil and provides sun protection, leaving skin with a fresh matte appearance.'.

Key ingredients:
Fresh kiwi cells, Matte Fresh Complex, grapeseed oil

Directions: Apply moisturiser to face before sun exposure.

I have used this moisturiser for approximately the last two months. I was very surprised there was enough in the tube (50ml) to last as long as it did. I was using on average 3 pumps each morning to cover my face and neck area.

I will admit that I do not have the required skin type for this product, as I am dry and it is for oily/combination but I do believe that this is an alright mosturiser for the T-zone if you are not extremely oily. It did manage to keep my T-zone from becoming shinny and oily looking, all day.

On lazy days when I just wear mosturiser sans makeup, this moisturser manages to absorb the oil on my skin, leaving my skin free from a noticeable build up of oil or oily sheen. It does not keep my skin completely matte in the T-zone but enough so that I do not need to blot my skin.

The moisturiser itself is quick drying/ absorption once applied, so if youre in a hurry a quick application for make up can occur.

I would recommend this product for someone with combination to mild oily skin as it does a decent job of keeping the skin matte. I cannot comment for really oily skin tones though. It also did not dry out my already dry skin which was a bonus, and something I worry about when I do not use hydrating moisturisers.

I feel that while it controlled any oil that my face produced throughout the day, it is not the moisturiser for me. I need something with more of a focus on hydration.

Thanks for reading,

Danny xx
