Today I wanted to go through the products I finished using in the month of August. Below I have a photo of all the products I finish off, below that I have individual photos with a brief run down of my thoughts and whether I would repurchase or recommend.
Simple Soothing Facial Toner 200ml
Lasted between 26/7-24/8
I picked up this product from Kmart and was cheaper than the price I saw it at Priceline.
One of my only criticisms of this product was the size - the RRP is $9.99 and that is for only 200ml which didn't quite last me a month. That was slightly disappointing because I felt like it was a toner that was kind to my skin.
Swisse Rose Hip Facial Moisturiser 125ml
This moisturiser is great value for money. The tube lasted me forever, if my calculations are correct I used this moisturiser morning and night for over two months, close to three. It did not cause any irritations which is great for sensitive skin. Will consider purchasing this in the future.
Baby Bumkins Fragrance Free Baby Wipes 80 pack
I use baby wipes after showering to remove any left over residue after washing my face. I specifically use baby wipes as they are gentle and great for sensitive skin. These were a packet that were purchased for my baby cousins but I ended up using. They worked okay but were not as gentle as the ones I usually use from Aldi.
Palmolive Naturals Intensive Moisture Conditioner for dry hair 375ml
I absolutely love this conditioner, I was so upset when I finished the tube. I have had this conditioner since the beginning of the year and have been using it on and off when I need a really intensive conditioner to soften my hair. On using this specifically for a few weeks before finishing it, I worked out that it is the smell that draw me to it. The smell is that smell thats in the air after you have been to the hair dressers. That newly coloured, washed and blow dried hair. Its yummy!
I will be repurchasing this once I have used up the other two conditioners I have.
Redwin Tea Tree Shampoo Hair revitaliser 250ml
This is my holy grail shampoo for when I want that ridiculously clean feeling. This product 'removes the build-up left by other shampoos' and I can really tell after using it that all the excess products that have been in my hair are gone and my hair is fresh and clean.
W7 Skin Fresh Foundation in Nude Beige 30ml
I love W7 foundations. Such good quality for such a cheap price, $4.99 a bottle. This foundation is no exception and I really enjoy using it. It is like a thicker coverage version of the Photoshoot foundation by W7. Which makes it easy to use one for days I want a more natural make up look and this one when I need more coverage.
Nivea antiperspirant Stress Protect Deodorant 50ml
Normally these deodorants will last me a couple of months but mum used a bit of it then gave it to me so I ended up finishing it off. It is my go to/ holy grail deodorant and thus far has yet to let me down.
BYS Translucent Loose Powder in Light 18g
I love this loose powder, and once I finish up the couple of other powders I have will be heading down to Kmart for another. It is light enough in colour that it suits my pasty skin without creating a yellow tinge on my skin.
Elf Eyelid Primer in Sheer
This is a really great eye primer.
The colour is close enough to a natural skin colour that it makes applying any colour over the top stand out in a more natural way.
I will definitely be repurchasing this.
QV Purifying Mask 75g
This clay mask by QV is amazing for sensitive skin. It didn't cause any irritation or break outs on my skin and worked to soothe and refresh my skin. My little secret with this Face mask was to add a couple of drops of tea tree oil to it before applying it to my face. As tea tree oil is anti-bacterial I used this combination when I had particularly bad break outs and noticed afterwards a significant reduction of redness and soreness.
Kmart Love Primer 38g
This was not a bad primer, I will admit though that I mixed it with another primer to thicken it up as it its quite runny. If you want a glow this primer will definitely help. It gives the skin a more luminous appearance once applied.
Essence Crazy Volume Mascara 12ml
This was a fantastic mascara, once applied to my lashes it was like I was wearing falsies. It did however dry out quite quickly and became quite clumpy and gross. I will buy another tube and give it a second go though.
Schick Intuition Pure Nourishment razor head
This is a great moisturising ranzor head that I can use over and over again and my skin feels smooth and soft afterwards.
Crest 3D White Deluxe toothpaste 98g
This is a toothpaste that Mum gave me to use between shopping days as we ran out and it did the job. Definately noticed that once I went back to my normal toothpaste (pictured below) that my teeth felt cleaner.
Dentitex Advanced Whitening Toothpaste
This is the staple toothpaste that you will find in my bathroom that I share with my brother. It is from Aldi where we shop, its cheap and it cleans my teeth while keeping them white.
Schwarzkopf Normal Balance Leave in Treatment
After washing my hair I always apply a leave in conditioner and hair oil and for the last 10 years or so I have been using the leave in conditioners from this brand. I enjoy using it as well as the way it keeps my hair feeling soft and moisturised. Plus it smells lovely once applied to the hair.
Woolworths Home brand Talcum Powder 500g
I'm a powder puff.. for all those creases which rub and sweat this stuff works a treat to keep me feeling dry.
Redwin Coal tar Shampoo 250ml
I honestly did not enjoy using this shampoo. It is for dry scalp but I found if anything while using it my scalp ended up drier than it normally is and it left my hair feeling stringy and straw like. Unlikely to repurchase this again.
Arbonne Hydrating Cleanser + Freshner 118ml
Lasted between 24/7 - 31/8
This is a very expensive cleanser and it honestly only lasted just over a month. I believe if I am going to be paying over $30 for a face wash it better be the best thing ever, which I do not believe it was. I would repurchase if it was cheaper but for the price I feel it didn't help my skin enough. It was slightly hydrating ut nothing to write home about.
