Today I wanted to review the Arbonne FC5 Hydrating Cleanser + Freshener that I have used over the last month. Way back in May I participated in a make up and skin care trial for the brand Arbonne - which is where I was first exposed to this cleanser. My initial trial went for three days and I was very impressed with the three day results and after participating in a workshop/party later on in May I made this product a priority purchase.
After using a full tube, I am not as impressed as I thought I would be. Below I have listed both the positives and negatives of this product which will go into detail about why I wasn't as impressed as I first was in the trial period.
Positives of this cleanser:
- It has a Soft & Soothing formula - it has a white cream type of texture that glides onto the skin easily
- It has a non-iritating formula - did not cause any irritations or problems with my skin
- Leaves the skin feeling silky and slightly hydrated
- It is made from natural Ingredients
- Formulated without
- Animal products or by-products
- Artificial flavours
- Parabens
- Talc
- and much more
Negatives of this cleanser:
- Price - quite expensive $43.00 a tube
- Quantity - 118ml
- Improved skin for the first week or so and then was like it stopped working
- Lasted me between the 24/7 to the 31/8 - just over a month
- Quite extravagant for someone on a small budget
Overall I was expecting this to be a holy grail product and that by using it and the accompanying exfoliaters and moisturisers that I would be able to have clear and hydrated skin. Unfortunately while at first it appeared to help my skin balance and look clear and hydrated it did not last. I obviously need something with a little more kick to work at targeting problems apart from hydrating. I'm not ready to completely stop using this brand but I will be persevering with the pHisohex antibacterial face wash in the hopes of clearing up my skin.
Thanks for reading,
Danny xx
