Hey,
Today I wanted to review the Crop items that I bought earlier in the year. Also please ignore the squiggle over the Rimmel product as I seem to have no photos of just the crop products. The three items I purchased where on sale at the time and are as follows;
Natural Liquid Foundation in Ivory
Normal price $27, I paid $4.72
Natural Mineral Loose Powder
Normal Price $25, I paid $4.37
Natural Mineral pressed Powder
Normal Price $24, I paid $4.20
I fortunately was able to buy all the products on sale, figured it was worth seeing how they go on my skin.
The Brand plainly states on both their website and packaging that they:
No animal testing
Dermatological tested
Suitable for sensitive skin
No Petrochemicals
Proudly Australian owned
No GMO
No PEG
No Parabens
No Sulphates
No Phthalates
No Mineral oil
No synthetic pigments
No synthetic fragrance
No Lanolin
Which are all fantastic things for a brand who sell cosmetics. Unfortunately I have since either sold off the items I bought, or given them away. While the loose powder wasn't bad the other formulations did not work well with my skin.
I am very pale and yet the foundation was very white, a very bad colour match on my part. It was also very hard to blend out and didn't sit well on the skin at all. It was quite patchy on the skin and I honestly looked like I was diseased. It didn't help that it didn't dry on the skin well, even using the loose or pressed powder over the top. If anything this just made matters worse.
I tried using the pressed powder over other foundations but it was just a difficult formula that looked cakey and caused the underneath to become patchy and uneven.
I have really dry break out prone skin and the formulas didn't work for me, which isn't to say that they wouldn't work for someone else. I wouldn't recommend the products unless you can find them discounted to give them a go.
Have you used any CROP products? What did you think?
Thanks for reading my review,
Danny xx
