Review - Formula 10.0.6 Rescue Me! Acne Blemish Treatment

Hey,

Today I want to review the Formula 10.0.6 Rescue ME! Acne Blemish Treatment that I bought from Priceline during the skincare sale in July.

I've been using it for near on a month now and have noticed a difference in the acne and blemishes on both my face and neck. There are definitely less blemishes, plus they appear to heal quicker when using the product.

I would definitely recommend this product for those who have acne and blemishes and on a budget. It was cheap and so far I am having really good results.

The package directions state...

To use: Apply cream to affected area smoothing in until cream disappears, use twice daily if desired.

The Acne blemish treatment is has a liquid/ gel like consistency that smooths over and blends into blemishes and acne easily. It is best applied to clean unbroken skin and can tingle slightly on skin. It has a yellow tinge to the formula.  It has a very strong medicine smell, which dissipates once the product is rubbed into the skin.

Review - pHisohex Anti-Bacterial Wash

Hey,

Today I wanted to review the pHisophex Anti-Bacterial Wash I purchased from Chemist Warehouse for $8.99.

In the last couple of years I have had a lot of issues with pimples and acne on my lower face, chest and breast area, so anything that works on blemishes and pimples I will give a go.

Packaging states:

  • Assists in the removal of bacteria which can cause skin problems, while maintaining your skin's normal pH balance
  • Aids in the treatment of acne & pimples without drying the skin
  • Helps remove dirt and oil from blocked pores

Directions: Use 3 times daily.
1. Wash hands thoroughly with Phisohex face wash.
2. Wet face. Apply enough Phisohex Face Wash into palm to cover a 20c coin. Gently massage over the face, concentrating on problem areas and avoiding eye areas.
3. Rinse and repeat.
4. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry with a clean towel.

The face wash itself has a cream cleanser type of texture, creamy and smooth with no noticable smell. It is also white in colour and foams slightly when water is added.

After the first week of using it, noticable difference in acne and pimples, they were reduced and the healing process was under way. They were drying out and clearing up instead of becoming more inflamed.

Honestly wish I knew about this face wash before I spent big dollars on the Arbonne cleansers, more noticable difference in skin in just five days of use than two months of using Arbonne products.

The only issue I have with it is it has caused some dry patches on my neck, but nothing a high intensive moisturiser wont fix.

Review - eBay Replica Benefit they're Real Mascara

Hey,

Today I want to review the replica Benefit They're Real Mascara I purchased off of eBay for $1.89. I have been using this now for about a month and I am very impressed with the formula.

It is quick drying, so there is no mess once applied and the formula has a lightly sweet scent. The formula itself is a little stringy when you  pull the wand from the tube but this doesn't translate to a stringy application. It is a non-waterproof  mascara so make up remover and or water will remove it at the end of the day. This being said it has a long lasting formula and doesn't wipe off when dry so no mess is created. The best part is it is comes out very black on the lashes.

Below I have provided photos of the packaging and mascara, the wand and photos of before and after application.

Review - Too Faced Perfect Flush Blush

Hey,

So today I wanted to talk about my only high end blush.  The Too Faced Perfect Flush Blush in Candy Glow.

Back in May I received money for my birthday from both sets of grandparents and as you know I bought the Kat Von D Shade and Light Eye palette and the Chi Chi Highlighting and Contouring Palette. I also had enough money left over after purchasing those two items to buy the Too Faced Perfect Flush Blush in Candy Glow which I bought from Mecca at Melbourne Central for $44.

Since buying it I have only used it a handful of times, but each time I have been impressed with the subtle pink glow I achieve on my cheeks. Plus the packaging is absolutely gorgeous!

Unfortunately, or fortunately- depends on how you look at it the blush is not overly pigmented for a baked blush but it can be built up on the checks to create a natural pink glow. The end result is a very natural glowing looking flush to the cheeks, without looking powdery.

Review - Daiso Liquid Foundation

Hey,

Today I want to review a cheap liquid foundation I bought from Daiso for $2.80.

To be honest I was not expecting anything beyond a yellow sludge to come out of the bottle considering the price I payed. I was pleasantly surprised - once I worked out that primer was not this liquid foundations friend that it wasn't so bad after all, not something I would use every day though. It has a yellow tone to the formula, which isn't the best for my pink toned skin.

When applied after a primer, more specifically a silicone like primer it becomes patchy and does not blend out at all. Which prompted me to try the formula without a primer, which seemed to do the trick. When applied after moisturising, the formula blends out nicely and is not patchy. It also wears quite easily around the t-zone. The formula itself is thick and a beige colour with a sweet foundation/moisturiser type of smell. It has quite a light natural coverage, giving the appearance of a BB Cream or tinted moisturiser.

Review - Essence XXL long lasting Lip Gloss

Hey,

Today I wanted to review my Essence XXL Long lasting Lip gloss in the shade 06 Soft Nude.

I bought this lip gloss from Priceline after seeing a couple of blog reviews stating that it dries like a liquid lipstick. Obviously there is a liquid lipstick craze occuring - Like the Kylie Lip Kits and Jeffree Star Liquid Lips.. I have only had experience with Colourpop liquid lipsticks so trying out a cheap option from Essence seemed a good idea.

My experience with the lip gloss is that it doesn't necessarily dry like a liquid lipstick, but it doesn't exactly have the same feeling as a gloss. It is extremely comfortable on the lips and not drying at all. It has a very peachy pink tone once applied to my lips which is not always nice on the more olive skinned people in my family. The formula feels lightweight  when applied and as the packaging states that is is a 'velvet matt', it feels silky and smooth on.

The product has a doe foot applicator which makes it easy to apply to the lips. I don't know if it is just my product but the doe foot applicator is very flimsy feeling, so I tend to gently apply the product instead of full steam ahead.

Essence XXL Long Lasting Lip Gloss $4.70

Review - Modelsprefer Argan Infusion Liquid Concealer

Hey,

Today I wanted to review the Modelsprefer Argan Infusion Liquid Concealer in Light. I received this free during a buy two receive one for free sale at Priceline. Amazingly, since this purchase I have sold the other two Items I purchased and have been using this concealer daily.

I have noticed that when I apply concealer to my under eye area after foundation, my under eye will crease noticably. After changing things up and applying it straight after primer followed by foundation there is a noticable difference. Barely any creases occur and the concealer becomes more long lasting.

Pro's of the concealer:
  • Full coverage
  • Thick pigmented formula
  • Blends out easily and becomes light weight
  • very light yellow colour
  • Long lasting
  • cheaply priced RRP $9.99

Swatch of the concealer

I would definitely recommend this concealer to anyone who is pale and on a budget. It may not last 12 hours on the face but it is relatively long lasting and quite good coverage.

Have you used this product before? What was your opinion?

What do you think of the Modelsprefer brand? Good and Bad experiences?

Review - Ebay Lime Crime in Cashmere

Hey,

Today I wanted to review my eBay Lime Crime Velvetines in Cashmere. This is the first liquid lipstick I have purchased online from eBay and I am quite surprised at the quality considering how cheap it was at $1.99.

It has great pigmentation, the colour a grey purple. It has a thick, non streaking consistency with a faint perfume type smell. It doesn't take a long time to dry but if you press your lips together before it is dry it can feel sticky. It does dry to a complete matte look. In terms of longevity on the lips, it is long wearing except for when you eat - then a top up is needed.
