November Empties

Hey,

Today I wanted to go through the beauty products that I finished using in the month of November.

Palmolive Intensive Moisture Conditioner

I purchased this conditioner from the Reject shop for $3. I ended up using the whole 375ml in approximately 2 weeks. The formula didn't stretch as far as I thought it would, the way it left my hair was a dissapointment too. When I previously used this conditioner my hair was left softer rhan silk and smelling like I had come straight from a salon. This time my hair was left limp and not smelling overly lovely. Very dissapointed, will be using up the other tube I had and perhaps trying a new conditioner.

Byphasse Makeup Remover Solution

This is my go to make up remover that I use every day to remove my make up. I use one bottle up just about every month and have been using this brand for quite some time now. It does not irritate my eyes or skin when I use it unlike the Garnier one I previously used. I will continue to keep buying this one.

Protane Age Defying Shampoo

This shampoo was quite cheap, mum purchased it from Aldi for a whopping $3.00. It was however quite good quality and left my hair feeling clean and fresh after using it. It also lasted quite a while, I ended up using two different conditioners in the time this shampoo lasted. It wouldnt be a bad future purchase if it became avaliable again at Aldi.

Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Foaming Cleanser

This cleanser lasted quite a while, so it was god value for money. I however do not feel that it did anything amazing for my skin that I would want to repurchase. It felt like nothing but bubbles when applying to the face and didn't leave the skin feeling much different after washing it off.

T.N. Dickinson's All Natural Witch Hazel Toner

I started using this through a recomendation to a friend. This is a good toner, that leaves the skin feeling clean and toned. The only issue I had with it was that it contained alcohol, which I am trying to avoid using on the skin on my face. I have since been trying to find a product that works just as well but without the alcohol, no such luck as of yet.

Nivea Men Sensitive Post Shave Balm

I purhased this product after the beauty world went crazy over it as a stand in primer. I used it for a couple of weeks but found that it wasn't too great for my skin which is naturally prone to break outs.

 Protane Age Defying Conditioner

I was not as impressed with this conditioner as I was with the matching shampoo. This lasted me a couple of weeks which is normal as I am an obsessive hair washer but it did not leave my hair as soft as I wanted it to be. This was a cheap option but I will not be repurchasing because I prefer a more intense hydration condiioner.

 pHisohex antibacterial Wash

It wasnt untill I went a couple of weeks without using this face wash that I realised exactly what it was doing for my skin. In the couple of weeks of November before repurchasing my neck and chin began to hormonally break out again and didn't really look to be clearing at all. Where as before when I first was using this, within a couple of weeks all of my hormonal breaks were cleared and it worked towards maintaining clear skin. Since repurchasing and using in my nightly regime my skin has started to improve again. This will be becoming a permanent fixtue in my skin care routine.

 Dentitex Toothpaste

This is a staple that everyone who uses my bathroom uses up every month. Sometimes multiple tubes are used up. We will continually be repurchasing as we shop at Aldi and this is one of there more economically friendly toothpastes.

 Replica Benefit They're Real Mascara

I purchased this off of eBay and could not have found a better mascar for the cheap price of $1.89. I have since repurchase and will most likely continue to do this as I am becomming aware of how average 'drug store' mascaras really are. The formula of this mascara is quick drying and non-irritating and lengthens lashes like its nobodys business. Not bad for a replica.

 Mecca sample Drying Cream

I fell in love. This product is amazing, I have since purchased a full sized pot of it off of BeautyBay and am counting down the days until it arrives on my doorstep. I applied this formula to my blemishes twice a day and within days they were cleared up and healed. Whatever is in it Mario Basecu knows his acne clearning formulas.

 Maybelline Brow Drama

I used this product daily before purchasing the Chi Chi brow pomade. It is the perfect product for the eye brows if your'e wanting a more natural eyebrow look. I however have found a more filled in look finishing off my face and have no use for a more natural look. Worth a look though if you're looking for a buget friendly eyebrow option.

 Maybelline Great Lash Mascara

This mascara was great to use as a way to seperate and lengthen the lashes before applying another mascara to finish the look off. It worked to lengthen and thicken and is amazing on it own but I sometimes go overboard when it comes to layering mascaras. I will consider repurhasing, this is definately a gem from the 'drug store'.

Schick Intuition Advanced Moisture Razer head

This is the last of the huge pack of razors my aunty gifted me last Christmas and I am sad to see it used. I really enjoyed using these razor heads. They left any skin that I shaved feeling soft and moistured, no cuts to be seen. I will be repurchasing at some stage.

 Estee Lauder Double Wear sample

Estee Lauder know how to create full coverage foundations that feel like you are wearing next to none at all. This sample lasted ages and many applications, the tinniest bit went so far and covered literally everything. I am happy to say that one of my best friends has purchased a bottle of this for me for Christmas.

 Mecca Sample - exfoliate cleanser

The lady at Mecca raved about this cleanser and in a way it was quite good, a little went a long way. In terms of budget friendly however I may have to buy a tube and see if it lasts as long as the price tag.

 Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Concealer

This concealer is definatly one of my favourites and once I have tried out and used a few of the others I have I will be repurchasing. It gave me the least amount of wrinkles under my eyes and covered the bags under my eyes like no other. The only issue I had was it was a sqeese tube, a pump of one with a doe foot applicater would be amazing.

Kmart Love Flawless Foundation in Light

This wasn't the best foundation, even for the cheap price of $3. It was okay when used in conjunction with another thicker or paler foundation but otherwise tended to be quite sticky and patchy. I have since found other economical foundations that have a better formula and will not be repurchasing this.

St. Ives Blemish Control apricot scrub

This exfoliator is very gritty and can be quite harsh on the face. After going for a more finer exfoliater by Arbonne to this, it was a bit of a shock but it was relately easy to adapt to. The reason though that I will not be repurchasing is that it didn't really last me too long. I need one that is a little more value for money.

 Schwarzkoph Leave in Treatment

I've been using this leave in conditioner for a lot of years, and will be continuing to use it until I find something that leaves my hair feeling as soft. Since running out I have been mixing three different oils until I can repurchase and I must say that they do not compare. If you haven't tried this you need to get it in your life.

Make up remover pads - large 60 pack

These large make up remover pads are great because there is more room on them to wipe makeup onto. However it doesnt end up being as economical and the 200 packs I was purchasing of the ones half the size. As I purchased two packets of these pads I will finish them and then go back to using the 200 pack. As it was 200 for $2.00 or 60 for $2.00.

Thats all for the month of Novembers empites..

What did you use up last month?

Did you find any prodcuts you loved? Hated?
Thanks for reading,

Danny xx
