Purchases #4

Hey,

In the last couple of weeks, for different reasons at at different places I have bought some more make up items and wanted to show ya'll.

The first is that I went shopping at Target at my local plaza where Chi Chi cosmetics and NYX cosmetics were on sale again. So I ended up buying a couple of things. In the grand scheme of things, I kept it to a minimum but I have promised myself that when Chi Chi is next on sale I will be purchasing more of their cosmetic brushes. Below is a photo of what I came home with..

Chi Chi Powder/Fan Brush - 109
Chi Chi Large Stippling Brush - 123
NYX Jumbo eye pencil Milk Lait - 604

The second lot of items  come from about four or so Kmart trips, were I bought more Elf products and their cheap LOVE brand. Below are photos of the products I came home with..

Elf Shimmering Facial Whip in Lilac Petal $3.00

Elf Shimmering Facial Whip in Pink Lemonade $3.00

Elf Shimmering Facial Whip in Golden Peach $3.00

Kmart's Love Lipstick in Nude $3.00
Kmart's Love Lipstick in Berry $3.00
Kmart's Love lipstick in Plum $3.00

Kmart's Love Make up Mist $3.00
Elf false lashes in Natural $3.00
LOL black liquid eyeliner $2.00
Lashstudio false lashes  in Heart breaker $3.00

Kmart's Love Pressed Face Powder in Light $3.00

Kmart's Love Duo Eye Shadow in Natural $3.00
Elf Golden Bronzer $8.00

The third lot of products were from a pharmacy in Myrtleford when I was on my way to Bright with my grandparents. Below is a picture of the products I bought.

Ulta3 020 Caramel Kiss
Covergirl Fresh Complexion Foundation 115 in Buff Beige
Essence fixing compact powder

The fourth is the Essence bronze eye shadow palette from the High Point Priceline. I recieved my quarter money back slip which turned out to be less that $4 so I figured a buy from essence would work.

Essence all about Bronze eye shadow

I gave this palette a go for the first time on the day of my graduation, and I agree with everyone who says this is a good beginners palette. This is also a good palette if you want to add sparkle to your eye look. The colours are easy to blend, have a reasonable amount of pigmentation but can be built up.

The fifth is from Chemist Warehouse who is currently having a half off all cosmetics sale. So of course even though I had spent all my money, I had to check it out. Plus I had recently come across the Byphasse brand so bought two skin care items.

W7 Photoshoot foundation in Buff x 2 $5.00
W7 Kiss me Lip Plumping $2.50
W7Tutti Fruity High Moisture Lip Gloss in Peach $2.50
W7 Lip Twister in Nude $2.50
W7 Lip Twister in Brown $2.50

Bypasse Purifying Cleansing Gel $4.99
Bypasse Gentle Toning Lotion $4.99

The sixth is an item my Mum bought me. She has recently hurt her back so we have been in and out of our local pharmacy where I came across a lipstick stand.

Colour by TBN in 887 Baci $3.50

Have you tried any of these items? What did you think?

Jojoba Youth Potion

Hey,

So I bought another item through a Facebook Bye Swap and Sell group. The girl who owned it was from Werribee and it only ending up costing me $10, not bad considering if you purchase it online it retails at $39.99. The item, pictured above is the Jojoba Company's 100% natural ultimate jojoba youth potion.

I have recently been viewing a lot of Youtube videos and watching guys and gals apply a couple of drops to their foundation or even just their face. I wanted to find out what all the fuss was about. Through eBay I ordered a small bottle of Jojoba oil that I now add a couple of drops to my foundation and mix before I apply to my face.

I then came across a girl selling the youth potion and figured this would be a good addition to my skin care routine as it is coming into winter. This for me means dry patches, and general dehydrated looking skin and therefore sloppy looking make up.

The bottle is quite pretty and luckily has the directions printed on as the girl didn't seem to have the box.

The directions on the bottle state to 'Dispense 1-2 pumps on to fingertips and gently massage on to a cleansed face, neck and decolletage. Use morning and night.

I have been using it now for just under a week and there has been a noticeable difference in the appearance of my skin. It looks hydrated and my complexion is more even and less splotchy.  It is early days yet but I am positive about continuing with its use.

Have you used jojoba oil before? What was your experience using it.

Facebook Buy Swap and Sell Purchases #3

Hey,
So back at it again with the buying make up products off Facebook Buy, Swap and Sell groups. This time I bought four lots of items, the first two both $20 each, the third $5, and fourth $3.

The first lot came from a teenager who did a meet up at Watergardens shopping centre. This included;

Elf Blush in Gotta Glow
Elf Blush in Candid Coral
Elf Blush in Pink Passion
Covergirl concealer in 115 120 Light Pale
NYX Butter Gloss in Praline

Below are some individual photos of the products I bought.

So far I have only tried out the Elf Blush in Candid Coral and the NYX Butter Gloss in Praline. The Blush is quite light, less pigmentation than I first thought. This is good for those who want to gradually build up colour, or have a subtle look. The butter gloss is a lovely colour with great pigmentation, it can be used on its own or over the top of lipsticks.

The second came from a lady in Sydenham, and was brand new only having been swatched.  Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Radiant Light $20

I have tried out the powder a couple of times and can be used as a highlight or an all over powder.

The third lot came from a lady in Truganina, the product having only been opened. The item, a Kryolan Mascara in black only cost me $5, and in coins.

I have given the mascara only a couple of goes so far but I don't know if I am as impressed with it as I am with my drugstore Revlon mascara. I will persevere with it and see how I go though.

The fourth lot came from a girl in Hoppers Crossing. I bought them because they were dirt cheap and I wanted to try them but was scared they would be terrible if purchased new.

Kmart brand Love Flawless Foundation in Light $1
W7 Captain Matte Foundation $2

I have tried both out in the last week, the Love foundation is quite good even for its full price of $3 at Kmart. It is dewy and glowy and almost medium coverage and lasts quite a while on skin. The W7 foundation is good too, maybe a shade too dark but it is flawless and near full coverage, well and truly worth the normal $4.99 price tag.

Have you used any of these brands or items? Let me know what you thought of them!

Aging another year! 23 come at me!

Hey,

So late last week on the 19th of May I turned 23. Yeah, I'm, getting old - not. Unlike the last 6 years or so I haven't spent the weekend of my birthday out partying. Instead my Aunty and her two little ones visited during the day and we had a cake.. and then went out to dinner with my grandparents, parents, brother and his girlfriend and my two best friends for dinner.

I also started wearing fake eyelashes! It took me a couple of hours to work out how it is done but, I succeded and wore them out for my birthday dinner. Below is a photo of my pre falsie look and look with falsies.

I thought it would be nice to do an appreciation post about the gifts I received from my family and friends. Mum and dad bought me a jacket, denim shirt, jumper and black volleys. My Aunty Laura surprised me the most though with buying me a too faced Natural Face Palette, as well as a Pandora charm. The BOMB!

I have thrown some photos of the gifts I received below.

The weekend of my birthday was my little cousins Confirmation, and she chose me as her Sponser so she bought me a gift, shown in the picture below alongside two birthday gifts.

LOVE Pandora Charm = sponser gift

Birth stone heart - birthday gift from Aunty Laura

Too faced Natural Face Palette = Birthday gift from Aunty Laura

For my birthday I recieved an email from Priceline where they sent me a $5 voucher. So of course I had to go and buy something. I walked out with $16 worth of items.
