Weekly Face Mask!

Hey,

Today I wanted to talk about a step in my skin care routine that I try to repeat once a week, if not once every two weeks. I'll admit that sometimes I loose track of time and there could be two weeks between uses but I find I get the best results when used weekly. This step is to use a face mask, I like to mix two products which are;

  • QV Purifying Mask - rich clay mask for sensitive skin 75g
  • Eureka Tea Tree Water soluble solution 100ml

The QV Purifying Mask is a clay mask that is suitable for sensitive skin, which I mix with a few drops of Tea Tree oil which has antibacterial properties and is suitable for use for acne and pimples. Once I mix these two products I wet my face and apply the combination to my face and neck (I have hormonal break outs on my neck) and then let it dry for approximately 10 minutes. After this I was it off and apply a toner and moisturiser and move onto my normal make up routine.

I personally find that this combination aids in clearing up my break outs and evens out my skin tone which can become blotchy. It is definitely a combination I would recommend if you have problematic and sensitive skin.

QV Purifying Mask - rich clay mask for sensitive skin 75g

Packaging states:
Kaolin removes excess oil and dirt
Safflower Oil replenishes moisture levels
Vitamin E provides anti-oxidant benefits
Fragrance and colour free

Directions:
Apply QV Purifying Mask generously to damp, clean skin, avoiding the eyes and lips.
Leave on for 5-10 minutes and remove with warm water to reveal smoother suppler skin. Suitable for daily use.

I have about one more use left in my QV Purifying Mark tube, so the next mask that I am planning on trying out is the Arbonne Sea Mud Face & Body Mask - pictured below.

I am planning on reviewing this product after I use in a couple of times, so stay tuned if your'e interested.

What face mask do you use?

Review - eBay Nars Contouring Brush replica

Hey,

Today I wanted to review my eBay purchase of the Nars Contouring brush replica.  This was an inexpensive purchase off of eBay, costing me the tiny amount of $2.74. Which is a load cheaper than the real brush which is $82. It took about a month to arrive but within the estimated time that the seller projected.

I've been using it off and on since I purchased it and it is great for a precise contour or even a more subtle contour. It is a very good dupe, even going so far as to have NARS engraved on the side of the brush. It is quite heavy duty, the plastic not flimsy at all while the bristles on the brush are quite soft, and do not shed - even when washing it.

Have you purchased the real Ita Brush? Was it worth it?

Review -eBay Bold Metal replicas

Hey,

Today I wanted to review the Bold Metal Replicas I bought off eBay. These were very inexpensive brush set that arrived relatively quickly. My mum bought both herself and I a set for roughly $9.50 each set. They came in three colours, gold, silver and rose gold and or a mixed colour set. I chose the rose gold and my mum chose the silver.

The came very well packaged and as you can see in the photo below, I didn't even wait to photograph them before trying them out. Notice the eye shadow and powder dusting five out of seven brushes. I have now been using them for over a month, and I love them.

They have ridiculously soft bristles, so you won't need to worry about a streaky applications or scratching your face while using them.

The brushes dry very quickly and its as easy as swirling them in some soap and rinsing to remove the product from them.

Unlike the real Bold metal brushes these brushes are lighter than a feather, not really but very light and plastic feeling. They however do not feel overly fragile, they seem quite sturdy.

My opinion is that they are well worth the $9.50 and I will happliy repurchase again and again.

Thank you for reading my review on my Bold Metal replica cosmetic brushes,

Facebook Buy Swap and Sell Purchases #6

Hey,

So today I wanted to show off the items that I have purchased from Facebook buy swap and sell groups in the last couple of weeks. I've only purchased six items in the last month or so, I was expecting to pick up a seventh but had to post-pone that to another date.

L.A Girl Pro Conceal in Almond $5

L.A Girl Pro Conceal in Nude $5

A lady was selling a heap of these concealers at $5 a piece. After a meting in Werribee I drove over to Point cook and picked these up. It was quick and painless

Kat Von D Monarch Palette $45

There was a lot of travel involved in picking up this palette. Without traffic I live approximately 25 minutes outside of Melbourne and this palette was located at Fountain Gate in Narre Warren. This is a decent hour, hour and a half drive since I had to pick up a friend in Footscray on the way. A girl had bought it from Mecca but had realised it was too cool toned for her, which worked out for me because I got it cheaper and barely used.

Unbranded hair straightening brush $30

I've wanted a hair straightening brush since they first came out, but didn't want to purchase a ridiculously expensive one if it was going to be terrible. When I noticed a lady in Hillside was selling one I figured it was worth a go. The bonus was my friend was picking up a curling iron from her so I tagged along and saved myself the petrol.

Kat Von D Shade and light palette $40

ABH Glow Kit in Gleam $30

Both the Kat Von D Shade and Light Palette and ABH glow kit were from a lady holding a make up party. How she got a hold of them, I don't want to know but they have authenticity codes so that was all I needed to know.

I've tried keeping it to a minimum in the last month, but lets be honest... I love make-up!

Let me know if you have used any of these products and what your opinions of them were.

MOTD - 13/7/16

Hey,

So today I wanted to post about my MOTD - Make up of the Day on the 13/7/16. I don't do MOTD posts enough, but on Wednesday my whole face just worked. Therefore I felt that I had to share it with you. I spent the day with my two best friends, eating and shopping.

All three of us where running late - I didn't want to get out of bed, Shann's alarm didn't go off and Erin had to swing past a chemist to get more medication. This essentially ended up giving me the extra time to spend on my make up. So I went all out and used my Kat Von D Shade and Light Eye Palette as well as my contouring palette.

I have realised as of late that a darker eye works a lot better at bringing out the features in my face - especially my eyes. The last couple of weeks I've been running late so have used one of my more natural-neutral palettes from W7 - which doesn't work as well to make my eyes pop. This has pushed me to start using deeper colours on and around my eyes.

Below I have a couple of photos of my face of the day.

Below I have a photo of majority of the products I used;

List of Products used:

Eyes:

Elf Eye Primer in Sheer
Kat Von D Shade and Light Eye Palette
Revlon Photoready Kajal in 301 Matte Coal
Maybelline Great Lash Water proof Mascara in Very Black
